Type /today at the start of your Claude Code session to review your vault context and build a focused daily plan.

Usage

/today

What it does

1

Reads recent context

Loads your last 5 daily notes from daily/, plus context/strategy.md and context/goals.md to understand your current direction.
2

Checks your task inbox

Scans business/tasks/inbox.md for pending items that need attention today.
3

Reviews active projects

Looks through business/projects/ and personal/projects/ for anything currently in progress.
4

Surfaces follow-ups from recent decisions

Checks business/intelligence/decisions/ for action items that came out of recent decisions.
5

Generates a prioritized daily plan

Produces a structured plan including:
  • Your top 3 priorities with reasoning
  • What’s urgent vs. what’s important
  • Suggested time blocks
  • Anything overdue or at risk
6

Creates or updates today's daily note

Writes the plan to daily/YYYY-MM-DD.md, creating the file if it doesn’t exist yet.
7

Asks if you want to adjust

Prompts: “Does this plan look right? Want to adjust priorities?” — so you stay in control of your day.

Knowledge pipeline status

/today also checks whether any books in your knowledge/raw/ folder are pending audit and displays the current status of your self-learn pipeline. If there’s unprocessed material waiting, it surfaces that alongside your daily plan so nothing slips through.
Run /today as the very first command in every Claude Code session. It only takes a moment and ensures you start each day with a clear, grounded plan rather than reacting to whatever comes first.
